Sgt. Eric DiVincenzo of the Upland police stated that the city’s Animal Control Department had received multiple complaints, which indicated possible animal abuse and neglect, including concerns about malnourished cats.
Authorities served a search warrant at the nonprofit's location in an industrial complex on 11th Street after receiving reports regarding the deplorable conditions. DiVincenzo noted that local businesses had raised alarms about disturbing sights, sounds, and smells emanating from the site.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and it remains uncertain whether any individuals will face charges.
