This period marks an increase in the birth rates of kittens, as warmer weather leads to more litters. Community involvement is crucial during this time. Lollypop Farm encourages residents to help by adopting or fostering kittens or adult cats. In a related effort, a cat supply donation drive will be held on Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in front of Pet World at Country Club Plaza on Fairport Road. This drive, organized by Meowscue, aims to support abandoned and feral cats in East Rochester. Participants can donate litter, food, and other cat supplies, or contribute money. Meowscue is currently caring for over 30 cats and kittens and will use monetary donations for veterinary care and rehabilitation efforts.
