OMAHA, Neb. - In recognition of National Pet Vaccination Month this March, the Nebraska Humane Society (NHS) is reminding pet owners that their pet licenses are also due on Sunday, along with the required vaccinations. To assist with this, NHS will host a low-cost vaccination clinic featuring Dr. Susan Ostle from Caring For All Pets on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

During the clinic, rabies vaccinations will be available for $10, while distemper, kennel cough, and feline leukemia shots will cost $15 each. Additionally, pet microchipping services will be offered for $25.
Pam Weise, president and CEO of NHS, emphasized that the clinic operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and patrons should expect a long wait. Pet owners are advised to bring their dogs on leashes and their cats in kennels. Keeping pets up to date with vaccinations is crucial to prevent diseases such as parvovirus in dogs and panleukopenia in cats, which are more prevalent as the weather warms leading into spring and summer.
