Over the past nine years, the café has served as a cat adoption lounge, successfully placing more than 900 cats into homes. The owners emphasized the café's role as a community space for cat lovers and those seeking comfort from feline companionship. They noted in their GoFundMe post that rent had increased by over $800 per month in the last three years, alongside necessary updates to the building.
Short-term, one-year lease agreements have made long-term investment impractical, threatening the organization’s stability. The building currently housing the café is listed for sale; purchasing it would allow the café to stabilize its monthly costs and potentially expand into an additional building on the property.
If acquiring the current building is not feasible, funds raised will be allocated toward securing a new permanent location or making improvements to the existing space under a more stable lease.
