Empty the Shelters is recognized as the nation’s largest funded adoption event. Sponsored by the BISSELL Pet Foundation, it partners with numerous animal welfare organizations to lower adoption fees and assist shelter animals in finding permanent homes.

LC4 Director Terra Bundy emphasized the importance of this event, stating that adopting a dog not only provides a loving home but also creates space in the shelter for additional dogs in need. "Help us continue to provide a safety net for some of our most vulnerable dogs by giving our furry friends a forever home today," she said.

All available dogs have been spayed or neutered, received a medical evaluation (including a heartworm test or treatment if necessary), initial vaccinations, and have been microchipped and dewormed.
