Credelio Quattro, which combines lotilaner, moxidectin, praziquantel, and pyrantel, received FDA approval in October 2024. This chewable tablet offers protection against fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, and three intestinal parasites: roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Elanco emphasizes that the product should be administered monthly to ensure continuous protection, a recommendation supported by the American Heartworm Society and the Companion Animal Parasite Council. Casey Locklear, DVM, noted the tablet's appeal due to its beef-flavored, allergen-free formulation.
Since its launch in January 2025, Credelio Quattro has generated $100 million in net sales, marking the fastest milestone for any of Elanco’s products. Bobby Modi, executive vice president at the company, highlighted the high demand for comprehensive parasite protection solutions. Credelio Quattro captured approximately 14% of the dollar share in broad-spectrum sales from U.S. veterinary clinics by June. Elanco plans to introduce Credelio Quattro to global markets starting in 2026, with pending approval submissions in Australia, Canada, the EU, the UK, and Japan.
Zenrelia, a once-daily Janus kinase inhibitor, is already available internationally for the treatment of pruritus associated with allergic and atopic dermatitis in dogs 12 months and older. The European Commission approved Zenrelia in July 2025, and it is set to launch in the third quarter of that year. The UK Veterinary Medicines Directorate followed with its approval in August 2025. Currently, Zenrelia is available in the EU, UK, Brazil, Canada, Japan, and the U.S.
Victoria Robinson, a veterinary dermatologist, expressed optimism about Zenrelia's potential to enhance the bond between pet owners, patients, and caregivers while improving their overall quality of life. Ramiro Cabral, Elanco International's executive vice president, reported that over half a million dogs have been treated with Zenrelia globally.
Elanco conducted studies in the U.S. and Europe ahead of Zenrelia’s approvals, comparing it to an oclacitinib product. Dr. Mara Tugel shared that the studies demonstrated Zenrelia’s once-daily dosing was as effective as twice-daily dosing of the competing product, with comparable rates of adverse events.
