Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization serving the Greater New Orleans area. Founded in 2006 in response to pets left behind after Hurricane Katrina, ARNO has grown to be a vital resource for abandoned and homeless animals.
The organization rescues dogs and cats that are neglected, injured, elderly, or at risk, providing medical care, rehabilitation, and shelter until they can be adopted. Additionally, ARNO promotes responsible pet ownership through adoption programs, foster networks, and community outreach, working with volunteers and donors to reduce pet homelessness and enhance animal welfare in the region.
