Founded by Tom and Amy McGuire, the Madison-based nonprofit provides a home-like environment for cats rescued from various situations, including abuse and abandonment. The organization also assists in bringing cats from Kuwait to Wisconsin.
The Fur Seasons promotes a cage-free atmosphere where each cat receives individualized veterinary care and the time needed to recover before adoption. Tom McGuire emphasized the importance of community support, stating, "Every cat who comes through our doors has a story, and every rescue is made possible by people who believe in what we’re doing. The Fur Ball is a chance to bring our community together, celebrate those stories, and raise the support we need to keep giving more cats a second chance."
Scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., the event will include entertainment, a raffle, cocktails, and a silent auction. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the rescue’s initiatives and the cats they have assisted.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support The Fur Seasons’ ongoing rescue efforts, veterinary care, and other needs. General admission tickets are priced at $65, while VIP supporter tickets are available for $125.
