The shelter is in need of various items, including wet and dry adult dog food, puppy food, white rice, Quaker quick oats, canned goods without tomato-based products, dog treats, and creamy peanut butter that does not contain xylitol.
Additionally, comfort and bedding items such as blankets, towels, pet beds, toys, plastic tarps, and straw are essential for keeping kennels warm during the winter months.
Cleaning supplies are also needed, including Dawn dish soap, bleach, Fabuloso, Awesome cleaner, paper towels, and trash bags.
Donations can be delivered during regular operating hours at the Caldwell County Animal Shelter, located at 489 Baker Hill Road in Princeton. If the shelter is closed, items may be left at the front door for staff to bring inside.
For further information, interested individuals can call the shelter at 270-365-1000. The community is encouraged to visit, spend time with the dogs, or inquire about volunteer opportunities.
