Cats Protection has launched an appeal to find a new home for Odin, a 19-year-old cat in need of a comfortable place to live out his days. Odin, along with four-year-old Luna, was brought to the Glasgow Adoption Centre after their owner fell ill and could no longer care for them. Odin is described as a gentle soul who, while initially shy, enjoys being petted and loves to sit on laps once he feels comfortable. Despite his age, he is in good health and enjoys outdoor access. His last veterinary visit noted a grade one heart murmur, but it is not currently causing him any issues.
Senior cat care assistant Lynsey Anderson noted that both cats have lived with their previous owner since they were kittens—Odin for 19 years. She emphasized the importance of finding them a home quickly so they can return to a more comfortable living situation. "It isn’t always easy finding homes for older cats, but they still have so much love to offer," Anderson remarked.

In response to the pandemic, the centre has adapted its process to 'hands-free homing,' allowing potential owners to browse available cats online and submit applications to be matched with the right pet.
