Pet Adoption Updates for the Week of October 1

This week’s available pets at the Florida Humane Society can be viewed below. For information about dog adoptions, email [email protected]. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Potential adopters must reside in Broward or Palm Beach counties. Free training is included with all dog adoptions. For cat adoption inquiries, call 954-974-6152 or visit floridahumanesociety.org to complete a pre-adoption form. The Florida Humane Society is located at 3870 N. Powerline Road in Pompano Beach and is open from Thursday to Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

One of the kittens available is named Sunday, a sweet tabby who was discovered outside the shelter in a box. Sunday is social, outgoing, and loves attention, and will be ready for adoption in about a week.

Stormy, a 4.5-month-old Labrador Retriever mix, is also available. He is likely to grow into a medium-to-large-sized adult. While he may be shy initially, he quickly warms up to affection and attention. Stormy is energetic, playful, and eager to learn, making him a great companion for a family with time and patience to provide training. We are still getting to know him as he is a new arrival at the shelter.

Three puppies named Jack, Joe, and Johnny are also seeking homes. These 6-month-old mixed breeds are playful and engaging, and they will not need to be adopted together. They are expected to grow into small to medium-sized adults and will thrive in calm, loving environments where their families commit to their development. Previous dog experience is beneficial due to their shyness. The Florida Humane Society is excited to have these puppies join their pack and look forward to watching them grow.
