On September 7, Sam stopped at a fast-food restaurant for lunch before heading out for a hike. To Sam's surprise, rather than eating the meal, the dog jumped into the car. Not wanting to put the wet pup back outside in the rain, Sam welcomed him inside. After settling in, the dog happily ate the food, revealing that he had likely been living on the streets for some time.
Afterward, Sam took the dog to a local veterinarian to check for an owner and ensure his health. The examination confirmed that the dog was healthy but did not have an owner. Sam decided to adopt the gentle pup, naming him Gus.
Since then, Sam and Gus have formed a strong bond and are enjoying various adventures together, including hiking, beach outings, swimming in rivers, and sharing plenty of cuddles.
