Heidi Dean from the Hanson Family Foundation noted the importance of keeping pets with their owners, stating that many families struggle to afford pet food. By providing substantial donations to shelters and rescues, they help ensure pets remain with their families or find support in shelters.
This initiative is facilitated through Greater Good Charities’ In-Kind donation program, which is the only national pet food banking system in the United States.
