The nonprofit operates as a rescue and community cafe, providing care for cats while also running a free food pantry, partnering with local memory care units for crafts, and hosting support groups for domestic violence survivors and military veterans.
According to Shelter President Crystal Burditt, recent thefts included a leaf blower, a ladder, and donated cans that contribute to their daily funding. In response, the shelter is actively raising funds to replace the stolen items, install a security system, and construct a lockable storage shed to protect their resources and ensure the safety of volunteers, animals, and visitors.
