Pet owners must show proof of residency through an ID. Only cash will be accepted for services. Participants are required to bring cats in carriers and dogs on leashes or wearing collars. For safety reasons, aggressive animals will not be eligible for the clinic.
The clinic will offer rabies vaccinations, microchipping, and other species-appropriate vaccines including FVRCP for cats and DHPP for dogs. The fee structure is as follows:
- $10 for a microchip
- $15 for a rabies vaccination
- $15 for additional vaccinations (FVRCP for cats and DHPP for dogs)
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to potential wait times. Randy Lambert, the animal services chief, emphasized the importance of vaccinations and microchips, stating that they are essential for protecting pets, enhancing the likelihood of reunification if lost, and preventing the spread of serious diseases within the community.
For those interested, preregistration for the clinic is available. For further inquiries, contact Santa Rosa County Animal Services at 850-983-4680.
