The West Pelzer Fire Department in South Carolina successfully rescued a dog that fell into a 50-foot abandoned well. Fire crews were dispatched to the location at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, they determined that atmospheric conditions required a rescuer to enter the well with supplied air. One firefighter was able to secure the dog and safely bring it back to the surface, reuniting it with its owners.
