New Hope Cat Rescue has expanded its cat adoption event, originally scheduled for Johnson City, to include two additional locations: the Washington County Public Library in Jonesborough and Petsense in Elizabethton. The organizers highlighted that the change in venue facilitated a greater number of potential adopters meeting the cats and kittens, all of which are up-to-date on flea and worm treatments and come with veterinary records.
Theresa Sweet, a foster friend with New Hope Cat Rescue, stated, "There are a lot of cats out there without homes, and we're very aware of it. We've got so many loving foster families and community members willing to participate, and we just thought, hey, now's the time to do it. We have about 30 cats in foster homes right now ready for adoption."
Rescue volunteers are encouraging individuals to consider starting the new year with a new furry companion.
