The groomer approached the frightened pup and found it had been left behind with a carrier and two bowls. In fear, the dog scrambled back into its carrier as she got closer. She managed to close the carrier to keep him safe and took him to a nearby shelter. However, this shelter has a euthanasia policy for animals.

Upon learning about the dog's situation, rescuers from Let's Rescue Dogs intervened and rescued the dog, naming him Benito. The team recognized that Benito needed time to adjust and learn to trust again. He was placed with a foster family where he received proper care and a safe space.

A simple toy significantly improved Benito's demeanor, and he began to engage in play, joining in a game of tug-of-war. This positive interaction enabled him to receive a long-overdue bath. Once cleaned, he explored his foster family’s garden, showcasing his newfound happiness as he played with his new companions. Benito is now believed to be ready to find his forever home.
