Once a cherished family pet who enjoyed sleeping in bed and playing with squeaky toys, Fendi now seems overwhelmed by her new surroundings, watching the activity around her with apprehension. A video shared by @humanebroward has garnered over 5,200 likes, highlighting the stark contrast between her past and present.
In the footage, Fendi is initially seen cowering in her kennel, appearing frozen. As a volunteer enters, she cautiously observes but stays close, seeking reassurance. The accompanying text in the video notes her confusion, stating, “The shelter is loud and scary and she doesn’t understand why everything suddenly changed.”
When the volunteer approaches, Fendi responds by coming over for comfort, accepting gentle pets and even leaning into a hug. Despite her nervousness, she shows a willingness to connect. When encouraged to place a paw on the volunteer’s thigh, she complies, and subsequently seems more engaged as another volunteer prepares her bed with a blanket.
