The Tulsa SPCA is organizing a three-day adoption event from October 2 to 4, aiming to find homes for all its animals. Last year’s Mars adoption event was a success, resulting in every adoptable animal finding a family. Chase Reed from the Tulsa SPCA expressed hope that the community would once again support their efforts.

Reed recalled the emotional moment when the last dog was adopted during last year's event, stating, "It was just such a special moment watching our last dog walk out of the shelter and knowing that none of them are going to have to stay the night in our shelter. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house."
Currently, the shelter has approximately 40 dogs and 20 cats ready for adoption. Among the dogs is Charlie, a 6-year-old who has been at the shelter the longest. Reed described Charlie as sweet, smart, and trained, encouraging potential adopters to visit the shelter or apply online.
Adoption fees will be waived for all pets during the event, thanks to sponsors including Mars and Pedigree. All adopted animals will have been spayed or neutered and receive vaccinations, microchipping, and preventive care.
The Tulsa SPCA offers ongoing support to new pet owners, including guidance on training and other resources after adoption. The organization invites potential adopters to meet the animals in-person at its campus located at 2910 Mohawk Boulevard.
