Inside the basket, he found a small dog curled up and motionless, causing him great concern. Fortunately, the dog was still breathing. Despite having more deliveries to complete, the driver couldn't leave the animal behind. He immediately contacted Logan’s Legacy 29, a rescue organization founded by Suzette Hall. A volunteer soon arrived and carefully took the dog to a veterinary clinic.
Vets later estimated that the dog, named Solene, was about seven or eight years old and very weak. X-rays revealed a broken leg that required surgery for proper healing. The surgery would cost several thousand dollars, prompting Suzette to appeal to the community for help. Remarkably, animal lovers rallied to support Solene’s recovery, raising $4,000 to fund her operation.
After being cruelly abandoned, Solene is now on the path to rehabilitation, and hopes are high that she will soon find a forever home.
