Cobb County Animal Services has updated its appointment policy for potential pet adopters. While appointments are preferred for pet visits, walk-ins are also welcome. Scheduling an appointment helps manage staffing effectively between pet parents, shelter pets, and volunteers, ensuring a smoother experience. If two parties arrive simultaneously, priority will be given to those with appointments.

Appointments remain mandatory for owner surrenders. However, no appointment is needed for citizens bringing in strays, searching for lost pets, or reclaiming animals. For these situations, individuals are encouraged to visit the shelter directly, where staff will assist.
