Recently, the rescue shared profiles of kittens currently in its shelter or in foster homes, with more feline profiles to be posted soon.
The organization encourages anyone considering adding a cat to their family to explore the animals available for adoption and attend an upcoming open house.
On Wednesday, September 30, KC Rescue hosted an open house from 4:30 to 7 p.m., allowing potential adopters to meet some of the cats available for adoption.
For those unable to attend the open house, private meet-and-greet sessions can be arranged by calling 306-228-2132, with a preference for 24 to 48 hours' notice. Note that the shelter's phone does not accept text messages.
Interested adopters can complete an adoption application in advance, even without a specific cat in mind. KC Rescue's website features photographs and profiles of available felines, along with adoption applications and resources to assist families in choosing a suitable cat.
In addition to facilitating adoptions, KC Rescue highlights the importance of spaying and neutering pets, as the community continues to struggle with a high number of cats needing shelter and care. The organization describes this situation as a population crisis, citing overwhelmed shelters and the urgent need for assistance.
KC Rescue encourages residents to share information about available cats, aiming to help these animals transition into permanent homes instead of growing up in shelters. Each cat deserves a chance to find a loving, permanent home.
