The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has opened registration for its annual Pet Food Conference, set for January 26, 2027, in Atlanta, Georgia, coinciding with the International Production & Processing Expo. The conference will feature presentations and discussions tailored for pet food and pet treat manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and other industry stakeholders. Topics will include global pet food market trends, applications of artificial intelligence, testing and regulatory compliance, advancements in the animal supplements sector, and relevant policy issues. Attendees will also receive updates on legislative matters in Washington and developments from the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine.
In a highlight of the program, three graduate students will be invited to present their research on challenges facing the pet food sector, while undergraduate students will have the opportunity to showcase their work during a poster session. Applications from students are due by November 6.
Additionally, the AFIA will present its Friend of Pet Food Award to honor an individual who has made significant contributions to the growth of the pet food industry.
The conference is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time in the Georgia Ballroom at the Georgia World Congress Center. Registration fees are $150 until January 8, after which the price will increase to $199. Attendees can register through the IPPE registration portal.
