During the tour, Shanna Hart, Animal Care and Control Officer for Mansfield, highlighted how the new shelter met two key objectives: improving logistical efficiency in disease prevention compared to the previous facility, and creating a low-stress environment for animals. The shelter achieves efficiency through designated zones that cater to the varying needs of different animals, while its kennel design aims to simulate a household setting, promoting animal well-being.
