Federal regulators reported that from 2017 to 2025, FDA testing detected the presence of salmonella, listeria, and E. coli in the pet food manufactured by the company. This contamination has resulted in serious health concerns, including a case where a 4-year-old child developed a severe kidney condition after coming into contact with food intended for a family dog.
Despite numerous warnings from the FDA, contamination issues persisted, prompting the current legal action. The lawsuit aims to permanently prevent the company from producing or selling pet food until it complies with federal safety regulations.
