Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control Waives Cat and Kitten Adoption Fees Until August 1

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control has reported nearly 400 animal adoptions in July. However, the shelter has now reached capacity, prompting a plea for community support. According to a news release, the facility experienced nearly 200 animal intakes over the past week and currently has about 300 kittens and puppies in foster care awaiting their arrival when they are mature enough. The shelter notes that a seasonal influx of animals, particularly during summer, is typical, but many have been adopted, transferred, or reclaimed.
