According to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention's 2022 State of Pet Obesity Report, 61% of cats assessed by US veterinarians are classified as overweight or obese. Excess weight can have a detrimental effect on mobility and overall well-being. The new diet combines elements from Hill's existing Metabolic and j/d formulas into one comprehensive product.
The Metabolic + j/d diet includes a specific ratio of omega-3 fatty acids, which Hill's claims can help reduce inflammation, support joint health, and preserve cartilage. Additionally, the diet is designed to activate the body's natural mechanisms for burning fat and optimizing calorie usage, tailored to each cat's unique metabolic response.
