The National Dairy Herd Information Association (DHIA) is offering veterinary medicine scholarships for third- and fourth-year students enrolled in American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education accredited colleges. Each selected applicant will receive a scholarship valued at $1,500.

To apply for the scholarship, candidates must submit a letter of application along with two reference letters. The application letter should include the student's academic background, area of interest or specialty, experience with Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) data, career plans, and an analysis of challenges in dairy veterinary medicine along with proposed solutions.

Scholarship recipients will be announced during the National DHIA Leadership Sessions and the 62nd Annual Meeting, scheduled for March 2-4 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The scholarship committee will evaluate applicants based on their commitment to dairy veterinary work, engagement in dairy medicine, extracurricular activities, and willingness to utilize dairy software and records for dairy management and animal health improvements.
