Juno, also known as Meow-Meow, was adopted by a family after a young boy insisted they take her home from a PetSmart adoption event. The boy's mother had initially been hesitant, having recently lost two pets, including an 18-year-old cat and a 15-year-old dog. However, her son urged her, stating, “Mom, we have to get this cat. She looks so sad!”

When the mother approached, she found Juno lying against the back wall of her cage, appearing depressed while other cats were lively and engaging with visitors. Juno’s paperwork indicated that she was surrendered by her previous owner due to illness and was just over a year old at the time of adoption.

After a period of adjustment, which was complicated by the introduction of a rescue dog a month later, Juno became a beloved member of the family. She has developed a close bond with her adoptive father, who enjoys her company during his morning coffee. Juno is vocal and affectionate, and although she may not excel at hunting insects, she successfully caught a mouse and brings joy to the household. Now five years old, she occasionally causes mischief but is cherished by her family.
