Highview Veterinary Hospital Opens in Boerne

Dr. Amelia Rauch emphasized that the hospital was founded on the belief that effective veterinary care requires collaboration among the doctor, pet, and owner. "Your pet is family, and you should never feel shut out of their care," she stated. At Highview, pets and their owners remain together during visits, as most exams and treatments are conducted in the same room, promoting a calmer experience for animals and facilitating clear communication between the veterinarians and pet owners.

Dr. Mike Rauch noted that building relationships with clients is crucial, saying, "As a family-run practice, we’re not just serving the community; we’re part of it. Building lasting relationships with the people and pets of Boerne is the heart of what we do."

The couple, who met at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated together in 2020, have gained diverse experience through their practice across Texas and in England before establishing Highview.

Highview Veterinary Hospital offers comprehensive care throughout a pet's life, including wellness exams, vaccinations, preventive care, dental services, diagnostics, surgery, and emergency care. The clinic is staffed by a team of six, including the Rauch couple, and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The Rauch family has lived in Boerne for two years, where they are raising their two young sons, aged 2 years and 5 months. A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Boerne Chamber of Commerce is set for 11:30 a.m. on October 13, and the public is invited to attend.
