In this role, Ruggiero aims to lead the next phase of growth for Mars Pet Nutrition in North America, focusing on science-backed innovation, omnichannel expansion, digital initiatives, and operational excellence. Her previous experience includes serving as President of the Global Nutrition Category at The Coca-Cola Company, where she managed a $9 billion portfolio and significantly contributed to the company's growth.
Nearly two-thirds of American households are now pet owners, with many viewing their pets as essential to their lives and investing more in their health and wellness. Ruggiero’s leadership comes at a pivotal time for the pet care sector, as over 80% of pet owners regard nutrition as crucial to their pets' health.

Prior to her role at Coca-Cola, Ruggiero led North America Operations at The Coca-Cola Company and spent nearly four years as Chairperson and CEO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. She is recognized for her leadership in diversity and organizational culture and holds a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Huddersfield.
