April Howard, Executive Director of Dorchester Paws, emphasized the importance of investing in both pets and their families. She stated that while pet owners want the best for their animals, access to affordable veterinary care can often be a challenge. Events like the Pet Community Day are intended to offer practical resources to ensure pets remain happy and healthy within their homes.
The event will take place in collaboration with Dorchester County, McElveen Buick GMC, and Renewal by Anderson at the Dorchester Heritage Center, located at 964 Highway 78, on September 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is open only to residents of Dorchester County and is limited to four pets per household.
