Elanco's Credelio Quattro Hits $100 Million Sales Mark in Eight Months

Credelio Quattro is a chewable tablet designed to protect dogs from fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, and three intestinal parasites: roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. The product was launched in January and secured 14% of the market share at veterinary clinics by June.

Bobby Modi, Elanco's executive vice president of U.S. Pet Health and Global Digital Transformation, stated that Credelio Quattro is breaking new ground in parasite protection for veterinarians and pet owners. The product enhances Elanco's overall portfolio for U.S. veterinary clinics, which now offers a comprehensive range of parasite protection options at varying price points.

This announcement comes as Elanco prepares to unveil its new corporate campus, expected to cost over $200 million, next month in downtown Indianapolis. In August, the company reported its second-quarter earnings, noting a profit of $11 million, a significant improvement from a net loss of $50 million during the same quarter last year. CEO Jeff Simmons described these results as the company's best since it spun off from Eli Lilly and Company in 2018.

Credelio Quattro becomes the second of six recently launched products from Elanco to achieve blockbuster status, joining Experior, which helps beef steers by reducing ammonia emissions. Elanco is planning to expand Credelio Quattro internationally with pending regulatory submissions in Australia, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Japan, aiming for a global launch in 2026.

Additionally, Elanco announced that Zenrelia, a dermatology treatment for dogs aimed at alleviating itchy skin, received approval from the U.K.'s Veterinary Medicines Directorate last month. Zenrelia is now available in the EU, U.K., Brazil, Canada, Japan, and the United States, with over half a million dogs treated to date, according to Ramiro Cabral, Elanco's executive vice president of International.
