Quad City Animal Welfare Center Features Adoptable Kitten ‘Gillian’

MILAN, Ill. (KWQC) - The Quad City Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC) has introduced Gillian, a 3-month-old spayed female kitten who is eager to find her forever home.

On Saturday, October 10, QCAWC will hold the “Fill the Van Pet Food Donation Drive” from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Blain’s Farm & Fleet in Moline. The initiative aims to stock the QCAWC van with essential dog, cat, puppy, and kitten food to support both the animals at the shelter and local pets in need.

During October, McLaughlin Subaru in Moline is partnering with the shelter to offer half-priced adoption fees, making it a great month for families considering adopting a pet. This event provides an excellent chance to meet various dogs and cats looking for loving homes.

For those unable to adopt, QCAWC encourages fostering cats or kittens, donating funds or supplies, volunteering, and sharing posts on social media to help raise awareness.

The QCAWC Adoption & Education Center is located at 724 West Second Avenue, Milan, IL. For more information on available animals, the adoption process, and upcoming events, visit qcawc.org or call 309-787-6830.
