Cameron County Assistant Environmental Health Director Carlos Chapa emphasized the importance of the event, stating that it seeks to avoid issues relating to rabies affecting both humans and animals. The clinic is expected to vaccinate approximately 600 pets, and there is no limit on how many pets each individual may bring.
Pets must be at least three months old, and the clinic will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies are exhausted. The event will commence at 8 a.m. at the San Benito Annex parking lot, located at 1390 W. Expressway 83.
