The county commissioners approved these services to offer pet owners an additional resource for protecting their animals from illness and ensuring basic care.

"All of our animals that we do intake to the facility are vaccinated. We do it for the animals that we take in, but this is the first time we are offering it to the public. We hope that it helps the community, and we hope that it encourages the public to vaccinate their animals," said Crystal Reimenschneider, director of Victoria County Animal Services (VCAS).

VCAS will accommodate both walk-ins and appointments for these services. For further information, pet owners can visit the VCAS website.
