Founded in 2014, Passion 4 Paws has facilitated the rescue and placement of over 3,300 dogs, collaborating with shelters across Vermont and various Southern states. The nonprofit typically cares for 45 to 55 dogs at any given time.

Robin, the founder of the organization, noted that inflation and rising living costs have led to a higher demand for their services.

During the adoption event, Amanda Hancock expressed her excitement about adopting a dog named Sharky. "I immediately walked in the door, saw Sharky, and was drawn to her," Hancock said, adding that she quickly decided she wanted to bring Sharky home.

To ensure suitable matches, the organization requires interested adopters to complete an application and receive approval prior to adoption. Organizers report that this helps ensure dogs are placed with families capable of providing long-term care.

Plans for another adoption event are underway, although details regarding the date and location have yet to be announced. More information about available dogs, the adoption process, and future events can be accessed through Passion 4 Paws.
