Tanya Osler, the veterinarian and director of the Craven-Pamlico Animal Services Center, emphasized the dual benefit of adopting, stating that it not only saves individual animals but also creates space for others in need. She noted that all animals at the shelter are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
The shelter assures that pets available for adoption are ready to join their new families. The event will continue on Saturday, September 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a first-come, first-served approach. Osler encouraged community members to visit and consider adopting.
