President Crystal Burditt reported incidents of trespassing and property intrusion, culminating in the theft of community donation cans, a ladder, and a leaf blower from their premises. In a Facebook post, the cafe expressed that the situation extends beyond lost equipment; it has also impacted their sense of security.
To address these challenges, the shelter is working to raise funds for replacing the stolen items, installing security cameras, and constructing a lockable storage shed. They have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help finance these necessary upgrades.
