This week, the Erath County Humane Society is highlighting Kit, a three to four-year-old cat who arrived at the shelter as a stray after being unclaimed. Kit is seeking a family and has a fondness for head scratches and engaging conversations. Serena Wright, executive director of ECHS, noted that when Kit isn’t chatting, he enjoys lounging by the window, observing the outdoors. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and will soon receive a microchip and dewormer.

Another pet featured is Canoe, a Blue Heeler mix aged between none and 10 months, known for her energetic personality. According to Serena, Canoe enjoys spending time with people and is playful, making her an ideal companion for an active family. As she is still a young pup, she requires patience and consistency in potty training and basic commands. Canoe is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed.
