JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. - The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the local Humane Officer performed an animal welfare check in the township of Adams on June 29. During this check, the owner voluntarily surrendered 38 dogs, which were subsequently transported from the property.

Several organizations, including the Monroe County Animal Shelter, Trempealeau County Animal Shelter, Coulee Region Humane Society, and Hoping Fur a Home Rescue, have stepped in to assist by accepting some of the dogs. Northwood Vet Service is also providing veterinary care for the animals.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter and the partnering organizations are accepting donations to support this urgent situation. The investigation is ongoing.
