The Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud is requesting public assistance in locating a two-month-old kitten named Marin, who was taken from the shelter. They have stated that they will not pursue charges if the kitten is returned promptly.

According to staff, a visitor removed Marin from his kennel, placed him in a bag, and left the facility. Volunteers witnessed the individual leaving the cat room quickly and noted Marin's kennel was empty shortly afterward. Security footage corroborated these observations. Marin had just returned to the shelter on the day he was taken after spending time in foster care.
Marin is recovering from severe eye ulcers and requires ongoing treatment, which includes pain medication, antibiotics, and special eye drops derived from blood donated by another shelter dog. Although his condition has improved, he continues to need these serum drops for further recovery.
The shelter has indicated that Marin can be easily recognized by his distinctive coloring and cloudy eyes, and he is microchipped under the humane society’s name. They do not intend to release the security footage to the public.
