Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE: ELAN) has reported that its latest product, Credelio Quattro, has reached blockbuster status with $100 million in net sales in under eight months. This makes it the fastest-selling pet health blockbuster in the company's history and one of the quickest in the industry following a single geographic approval.

Credelio Quattro, a chewable tablet that combines lotilaner, moxidectin, praziquantel, and pyrantel, offers comprehensive protection against six types of parasites, including fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Bobby Modi, Elanco's Executive Vice President of U.S. Pet Health, noted that there is strong demand for all-in-one parasite control products, with Credelio Quattro capturing about 14% of the dollar share in broad-spectrum sales among U.S. veterinary clinics in June.

As cases of tick-borne diseases like Lyme disease rise, especially in eastern parts of the U.S., Credelio Quattro aims to address this concern by killing ticks quickly, thus reducing the risk of pathogen transmission. Dr. Lindsay Starkey, a veterinarian and professor at Oklahoma State University, emphasized that Credelio Quattro meets the needs for reliable, easy-to-administer parasite control solutions.

Credelio Quattro joins another Elanco product, Experior®, as the second of six newly launched products to reach the $100 million sales benchmark. Elanco is also preparing to expand the availability of Credelio Quattro internationally, with submissions for approval already made in countries including Australia, Canada, the EU, the UK, and Japan, aiming for global marketing starting in 2026.

In addition, Elanco announced the launch of Zenrelia, a once-daily oral JAK inhibitor for dogs. Zenrelia received approval from the UK's Veterinary Medicines Directorate in August and is now available in markets across the EU and Great Britain. Dr. Victoria Robinson, a veterinary dermatology specialist, expressed enthusiasm for the ease of use and potential benefits of Zenrelia in clinical practice.

Zenrelia is specifically designed to manage itching and inflammation associated with skin allergies in dogs over twelve months of age. Elanco has reported that over half a million dogs have already been treated with Zenrelia since its market introduction.

This launch follows a rigorous head-to-head study against leading competitor Apoquel, demonstrating Zenrelia's effectiveness in managing atopic dermatitis. As Elanco continues to innovate in the global pet health market, it is focused on meeting the evolving needs of pet owners and veterinarians.
