ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Two Ameren employees, Ed Schmidt and Anthony Hall, were reunited on Thursday with a stray dog they rescued near the company’s Page substation in July. The duo discovered the dog hiding in a shed and contacted Stray Rescue of St. Louis, which took the dog in and named him Sparky in honor of the workers.

Hall shared a memorable moment from the rescue, recalling how he gave the dog part of his turkey sandwich. “He ate about half my turkey sandwich, and then I was like, dang, he’s still hungry. So I went and got the rest of it,” he said.
According to Sparky's new owner, the dog has been adopted and is adjusting well to his new home.
