Siefert expressed his commitment to community outreach, stating, "I like to do a charity week in spring and fall, and then I do a charity day in summer and in winter, and I like to spread the love to everybody."
The event will continue through Friday, featuring different shelters each day that will present adoptable dogs and cats. The bar is also collecting gently used blankets, toys, pet food, and monetary donations for the participating groups. On Wednesday, dogs available for adoption were from the Crittenden County Animal Shelter and the Fulton dog pound.
Siefert emphasized the impact of participation, saying, "It's just a small part of your day that could affect something in a bigger picture. You come and do one simple task that can change an animal's life forever, and it can even change the shelter's life forever."
The adoption process operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with hours varying by day. The Between The Lakes Taphouse is situated at 1940 J H O'Bryan Avenue in Grand Rivers, near Patti's 1880s Settlement.
