Mount Dora Hosts 'Paws & Palette' Pet Adoption Event on October 24

This free event coincides with the Mount Dora Craft Fair, aiming to connect visitors with adoptable pets and local rescue organizations. It is designed to showcase adoptable animals and promote the vital work of rescues in the area, taking advantage of the increased foot traffic during the Craft Fair weekend.

The event will feature local animal rescues, adoptable pets, pet professionals, and businesses in a family-friendly environment. The theme, “Every Pet Is a Masterpiece,” reflects the event’s artistic flair and community spirit.

Beth Stoothoff emphasized the importance of the community feeling in Mount Dora, stating their aim to bring residents together while supporting local rescues. This event continues their partnership with DogTuff.com, which focuses on raising awareness for the pets needing homes.

Seth Cody from DogTuff.com highlighted the need for exposure for rescue organizations, noting that introducing pets to potential adopters can significantly change their lives. The Craft Fair's popularity presents a perfect opportunity for this visibility.

Attendees can meet adoptable dogs and cats from Central Florida rescues, learn about local pet resources, and enjoy themed photo opportunities. Further details about participating organizations and activities will be shared leading up to the event.
