Located at 3615 Hereford Dr., the new barn allows students to practice essential equine care skills. The name "Nodouble" honors the racehorse bred and owned by Gene Goff, which set national racing records and won the Arkansas Derby in 1968.
Dr. Heidi Banse, dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, emphasized the barn's significance in student training. “At this barn, they’ll be able to practice things like physical examination, how to restrain a horse, halter them, lead them in and out of different places, as well as learn various procedural skills, for example, ultrasound,” Banse said.
She expressed gratitude to the Goff family and highlighted the barn's role in their curriculum, stating it will be instrumental in teaching students essential live animal equine skills.
