Winston is one of many dogs and cats available for adoption at Ruston Animal Control, where potential adopters can view pets on their Facebook page.

Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis at the shelter without requiring pre-adoption paperwork. Interested individuals should bring cash or check for payment, along with necessary items for transportation such as a leash, collar, or crate. The adoption fees are $150 for dogs and $120 for cats, and all pets come microchipped. Pets over four months old will also be spayed or neutered and vaccinated for rabies before adoption.

For pets adopted at less than four months old, arrangements will be made for them to return to the shelter for their spay/neuter procedure and vaccination free of charge once they reach the appropriate age.
