A Sacramento pet photographer is providing free mini photo sessions for pets in exchange for donations of dog or cat food to assist the Front Street Animal Shelter. Caroline Winata, founder of Pet Photos by Olin and a volunteer at the shelter, initiated the project after noticing the shelter’s pet food pantry was empty.

Winata stated, "All you have to do is call us, say that you want to donate a bag of food, and in exchange, you'll get a free flash session or a mini session, 50 minutes in the studio. Photos of your dog, photos of your cat.”
The program, named "Fill the Pantry," began this week, with Winata requesting a 20-pound bag of dog food or a 15-pound bag of cat food in return for the complimentary sessions. So far, three people have booked sessions, and approximately 22 bags of pet food have been donated, some of which were delivered via Amazon.
Winata plans to track progress by marking a ruler on the wall to gauge how much pet food they collect. The initiative will continue until the end of the month, aiming to fill a truck with pet food.
